these are our vocab words:

description- making a picture out of words
descriptive language- writing that applies to the five senses
diagram- a technical drawing that shows how something works
dialect- language that is particular to one group of people in a region
dialogue- a conversation between two people
document- recorded writing that provides information
documentary- a film, TV program or book that provides information on a social, political, historical or scientific subjects
editorial- an article stating an opinion
elaboration- expanding or providing additional information and details
electronic media- television, Internet, radio, and phone used to inform the public
enunciation- clearly pronouncing words when speaking
episode- a scene that may be related to a series of events
etiquette- socially appropriate behavior; being polite or using manners
etymology- the study of how a word was formed or where it was derived from
exclamation mark- end punctuation mark that adds emotion to a sentence
exclamatory sentences- a statement that expresses strong feelings
explicit/implicit- directly expressing thoughts or ideas/implying thoughts or ideas
exposition- the background knowledge of story including setting, characters and problem
extend invitation- to offer someone the opportunity to do something
extraneous information- excess details; too much fluff; unnecessary details
eye contact- getting one’s attention by locking eyes
facilitator- someone who guides or monitors an activity or discussion
fact vs. opinion- information that can be proven true versus a person’s beliefs
familiar idiom- a saying or figure of speech that is commonly used in everyday conversation
familiar interaction- well-known gestures, behaviors, and conversation between people
